Public Information Requests

The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) requires facilities, which store or manufacture hazardous materials, to prepare and submit a chemical inventory report by March 1st of each year to to the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC), Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs), and their local fire department.  The inventory form must include information on all hazardous chemicals present at the facility during the previous calendar year in amounts that meet or exceed thresholds.  This information is available to the public pursuant to EPCRA requirements.

Each LEPC is required to have a hazardous materials response plan approved by the SERC.  These plans are available for public review pursuant to EPCRA requirements.

Additionally, agendas and minutes of the SERC meetings are available through the "Meeting Information" link.

Requests for information pursuant to EPCRA must be made in writing.  LEPCs and governmental agencies may make requests via e-mail, all other requests will be made on the Hazmat Repository Information Request Form.
